# PWGS vs SimplEvent

The clearest difference is update cadence: SimplEvent at every 2 weeks against PWGS's every 3 months. PWGS's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PWGS ships an update every 3 months, SimplEvent every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
