# Kryptxt vs FlyTexting

The clearest difference is update cadence: FlyTexting at every 2 months against Kryptxt's every 93 months. Kryptxt's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kryptxt sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FlyTexting sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kryptxt ships an update every 93 months, FlyTexting every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
