# Kryptxt vs discreed

The clearest difference is update cadence: discreed at every 10 days against Kryptxt's every 93 months. Kryptxt's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kryptxt sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and discreed sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kryptxt ships an update every 93 months, discreed every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
