# n+otes vs Diamond Glitter Diary

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Diamond Glitter Diary at none against n+otes's 4. Diamond Glitter Diary also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (78% vs 64%). n+otes's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. n+otes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Diamond Glitter Diary asks for nothing beyond the download.

n+otes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: n+otes has 45K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of n+otes's written reviews are positive against 78% of Diamond Glitter Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

n+otes ships an update fortnightly, Diamond Glitter Diary every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
