# n+otes vs Noble Notes

The clearest difference is monetization model: n+otes at free with in-app purchases against Noble Notes's subscription. n+otes also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (45K vs 3). Noble Notes's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 64%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. n+otes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Noble Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Noble Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: n+otes has 45K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of n+otes's written reviews are positive against 100% of Noble Notes's.

n+otes ships an update fortnightly, Noble Notes every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
