# n+otes vs Make

The clearest difference is update cadence: n+otes at fortnightly against Make's every 4 months. n+otes also leads on ratings volume (45K vs 198) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. n+otes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Make sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for n+otes against 4.7 for Make. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: n+otes has 45K ratings behind it against 198, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of n+otes's written reviews are positive against 71% of Make's.

n+otes ships an update fortnightly, Make every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
