# n+otes vs CalcPlus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CalcPlus at 100% against n+otes's 64%. CalcPlus also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). n+otes's advantage is ratings volume (45K vs 3) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. n+otes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and CalcPlus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CalcPlus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: n+otes has 45K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of n+otes's written reviews are positive against 100% of CalcPlus's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
