# n+otes vs SimchaCal

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SimchaCal at 100% against n+otes's 64%. SimchaCal also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). n+otes's advantage is ratings volume (45K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. n+otes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and SimchaCal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SimchaCal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: n+otes has 45K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of n+otes's written reviews are positive against 100% of SimchaCal's.

n+otes ships an update fortnightly, SimchaCal every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
