# Kickstarter vs moonoh

Kickstarter and moonoh both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of moonoh's written reviews are positive against 32% of Kickstarter's. moonoh also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Kickstarter's advantage is ratings volume (59K vs 14). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Kickstarter against 4.7 for moonoh. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kickstarter has 59K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 32% of Kickstarter's written reviews are positive against 100% of moonoh's.

Kickstarter ships an update every 4 weeks, moonoh fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
