# Kickstarter vs Seegar

The clearest difference is rating: Kickstarter at 4.8 against Seegar's 2.5. Kickstarter also leads on review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and ratings volume (59K vs 2). Seegar's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kickstarter holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kickstarter has 59K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Kickstarter's written reviews are positive against 0% of Seegar's.

Kickstarter ships an update every 4 weeks, Seegar fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
