# Doumbek! vs Robo Darbuka

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Robo Darbuka at 80% against Doumbek!'s 25%. Doumbek!'s advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 months) and rating (4.0 vs 3.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doumbek! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Robo Darbuka sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Doumbek! holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Doumbek! has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Doumbek!'s written reviews are positive against 80% of Robo Darbuka's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Doumbek! ships an update every 3 days, Robo Darbuka every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
