# Doumbek! vs Oud Master

The clearest difference is rating: Doumbek! at 4.0 against Oud Master's 2.4. Doumbek! also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (28 vs 8). Oud Master's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 29%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doumbek! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Oud Master sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Doumbek! holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 28 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Doumbek!'s written reviews are positive against 50% of Oud Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Doumbek! ships an update every 3 days, Oud Master every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
