# Doumbek! vs Arabic Instrument Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Arabic Instrument Pro at 71% against Doumbek!'s 25%. Arabic Instrument Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Doumbek!'s advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 weeks) and rating (4.0 vs 3.7). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doumbek! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Arabic Instrument Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Doumbek! holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 28 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Doumbek!'s written reviews are positive against 71% of Arabic Instrument Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Doumbek! ships an update every 3 days, Arabic Instrument Pro every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
