# Rocket Languages vs Lingophant

The clearest difference is ads: Rocket Languages at none against Lingophant's shown. Rocket Languages also leads on ratings volume (2.6K vs 3) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Lingophant's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rocket Languages sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Lingophant sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rocket Languages holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rocket Languages has 2.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Rocket Languages's written reviews are positive against 75% of Lingophant's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rocket Languages ships an update monthly, Lingophant every 10 days. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
