# Speech Jammer vs ColdTrace

The clearest difference is rating: ColdTrace at 4.8 against Speech Jammer's 3.1. ColdTrace also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (5.8K vs 613). Speech Jammer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and review sentiment (51% vs 36%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ColdTrace sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Speech Jammer asks for nothing beyond the download.

ColdTrace holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ColdTrace has 5.8K ratings behind it against 613, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Speech Jammer's written reviews are positive against 36% of ColdTrace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speech Jammer ships an update every 4 months, ColdTrace every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
