# Disasteroids vs Fairy Fire

Disasteroids and Fairy Fire both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Disasteroids's written reviews are positive against 50% of Fairy Fire's. Disasteroids also leads on price (Free vs $0.99) and ratings volume (30 vs 3). Fairy Fire's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On rating, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Disasteroids is free to download; Fairy Fire costs $0.99 up front. Disasteroids sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Fairy Fire asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fairy Fire holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Disasteroids has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Disasteroids's written reviews are positive against 50% of Fairy Fire's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Disasteroids ships an update every 52 months, Fairy Fire every 37 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
