# TΑ ΝΕΑ vs NewsIT

The clearest difference is rating: NewsIT at 5.0 against TΑ ΝΕΑ's 1.5. NewsIT also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). TΑ ΝΕΑ's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NewsIT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of TΑ ΝΕΑ's written reviews are positive against 25% of NewsIT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TΑ ΝΕΑ ships an update every 4 months, NewsIT every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
