# sofatutor vs Cornelsen Lernen

The clearest difference is rating: Cornelsen Lernen at 5.0 against sofatutor's 4.2. sofatutor's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 41%) and ratings volume (136 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. sofatutor sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per month and Cornelsen Lernen sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cornelsen Lernen holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: sofatutor has 136 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of sofatutor's written reviews are positive against 41% of Cornelsen Lernen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

sofatutor ships an update every 6 weeks, Cornelsen Lernen every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
