# EZ vs KMPlayer

The clearest difference is ratings volume: KMPlayer at 3.2K against EZ's 4. KMPlayer also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). EZ's advantage is iOS requirement (7.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KMPlayer holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KMPlayer has 3.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EZ ships an update every 2 months, KMPlayer every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
