# Rev vs act/on

The clearest difference is review sentiment: act/on at 100% against Rev's 53%. act/on also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Rev's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rev sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and act/on sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

act/on holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rev has 4.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of Rev's written reviews are positive against 100% of act/on's.

Rev ships an update every 3 weeks, act/on every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
