# Xactimate vs AccuLynx Field

The clearest difference is rating: Xactimate at 4.6 against AccuLynx Field's 3.8. Xactimate also leads on ratings volume (8.4K vs 596). AccuLynx Field's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 50%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Xactimate holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xactimate has 8.4K ratings behind it against 596, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Xactimate's written reviews are positive against 63% of AccuLynx Field's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Xactimate ships an update fortnightly, AccuLynx Field every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
