# SkyCharts XC EFB vs AeroChart

The clearest difference is rating: SkyCharts XC EFB at 5.0 against AeroChart's 4.4. SkyCharts XC EFB also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). AeroChart's advantage is ratings volume (56 vs 1) and review sentiment (40% vs 32%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkyCharts XC EFB sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and AeroChart sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SkyCharts XC EFB holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AeroChart has 56 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of SkyCharts XC EFB's written reviews are positive against 40% of AeroChart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SkyCharts XC EFB ships an update monthly, AeroChart every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
