# SkyCharts XC EFB vs FlyQ+ EFB

The clearest difference is rating: SkyCharts XC EFB at 5.0 against FlyQ+ EFB's 4.1. FlyQ+ EFB's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 32%) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkyCharts XC EFB sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and FlyQ+ EFB sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SkyCharts XC EFB holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlyQ+ EFB has 906 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of SkyCharts XC EFB's written reviews are positive against 72% of FlyQ+ EFB's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SkyCharts XC EFB ships an update monthly, FlyQ+ EFB every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
