# MyThings vs PosterMap

The clearest difference is ads: MyThings at none against PosterMap's shown. PosterMap's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyThings sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PosterMap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyThings ships an update monthly, PosterMap every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
