# Jane Austen's Regency World vs Live Note

The clearest difference is monetization model: Live Note at free with in-app purchases against Jane Austen's Regency World's subscription. Live Note also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (530 vs 2). Jane Austen's Regency World's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jane Austen's Regency World sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per year and Live Note sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jane Austen's Regency World holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Note has 530 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jane Austen's Regency World ships an update every 13 months, Live Note every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
