# WM Assistant vs Drone Buddy

The clearest difference is rating: Drone Buddy at 4.7 against WM Assistant's 3.7. Drone Buddy also leads on ratings volume (8.4K vs 6) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). WM Assistant's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and review sentiment (83% vs 55%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drone Buddy sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. WM Assistant asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drone Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drone Buddy has 8.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of WM Assistant's written reviews are positive against 55% of Drone Buddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WM Assistant ships an update monthly, Drone Buddy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
