# Hushed vs Second Phone Number

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Second Phone Number at 64% against Hushed's 42%. Hushed's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (23K vs 920). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hushed sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Second Phone Number sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hushed holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hushed has 23K ratings behind it against 920, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Hushed's written reviews are positive against 64% of Second Phone Number's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
