# Tip Aid vs TipIt

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TipIt at none against Tip Aid's 5. TipIt also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tip Aid sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. TipIt asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Tip Aid against 5.0 for TipIt. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TipIt has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Tip Aid ships an update every 2 months, TipIt every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
