# Beethoven’s 9th Symphony vs Classical Music+

Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and Classical Music+ both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Classical Music+'s written reviews are positive against 77% of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony's. Beethoven’s 9th Symphony's advantage is ratings volume (941 vs 54) and iOS requirement (9.2 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beethoven’s 9th Symphony sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Classical Music+ sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beethoven’s 9th Symphony holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beethoven’s 9th Symphony has 941 ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony's written reviews are positive against 100% of Classical Music+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Beethoven’s 9th Symphony ships an update every 3 months, Classical Music+ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
