# CVS vs AAA Discounts

The clearest difference is rating: CVS at 4.5 against AAA Discounts's 2.5. CVS also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 17). AAA Discounts's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (29% vs 18%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CVS holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CVS has 11K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of CVS's written reviews are positive against 29% of AAA Discounts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CVS ships an update monthly, AAA Discounts fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
