# Secure Notes vs Solefolio

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Solefolio at 100% against Secure Notes's 21%. Solefolio also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 8 months). Secure Notes's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Solefolio sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Solefolio holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solefolio has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Secure Notes ships an update every 8 months, Solefolio every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
