# SP Camera vs SCamera Pro

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SP Camera at 1.7K against SCamera Pro's 18. SP Camera also leads on chart position (#116 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). SCamera Pro's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and price ($7.99 vs $9.99). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

SP Camera costs $9.99 and SCamera Pro $7.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for SP Camera against 4.4 for SCamera Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SP Camera has 1.7K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of SP Camera's written reviews are positive against 61% of SCamera Pro's.

SP Camera ships an update monthly, SCamera Pro fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
