# InstantSquare vs Remarks

The clearest difference is rating: Remarks at 5.0 against InstantSquare's 4.4. Remarks also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). InstantSquare's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 23 months) and ratings volume (971 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InstantSquare sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Remarks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remarks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InstantSquare has 971 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of InstantSquare's written reviews are positive against 100% of Remarks's.

InstantSquare ships an update monthly, Remarks every 23 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
