# SketchApp vs Drawing ▫

The clearest difference is rating: SketchApp at 5.0 against Drawing ▫'s 4.1. SketchApp also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). Drawing ▫'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (15K vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drawing ▫ sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. SketchApp asks for nothing beyond the download.

SketchApp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drawing ▫ has 15K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of SketchApp's written reviews are positive against 24% of Drawing ▫'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SketchApp ships an update every 4 months, Drawing ▫ every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
