# Recognize vs Signature Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Signature Maker at 5.0 against Recognize's 1.7. Signature Maker also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Recognize's advantage is ratings volume (51 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Recognize sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Signature Maker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Signature Maker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recognize has 51 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Recognize ships an update every 3 weeks, Signature Maker every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
