# Piano Maestro vs VR Magic

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VR Magic at none against Piano Maestro's 15. VR Magic also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 79%) and device support (3 vs 1). Piano Maestro's advantage is ratings volume (27K vs 18) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Piano Maestro sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. VR Magic asks for nothing beyond the download.

Piano Maestro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Piano Maestro has 27K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Piano Maestro's written reviews are positive against 100% of VR Magic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
