# Comet Book vs MeteorActive

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MeteorActive at 89% against Comet Book's 55%. MeteorActive also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 2) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 6 months). Comet Book's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Comet Book holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MeteorActive has 2.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Comet Book's written reviews are positive against 89% of MeteorActive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Comet Book ships an update every 6 months, MeteorActive every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
