# Speed Tracker vs Trip Tracker

The clearest difference is ads: Trip Tracker at none against Speed Tracker's shown. Trip Tracker also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%). Speed Tracker's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (6.2K vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speed Tracker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Trip Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Speed Tracker against 4.5 for Trip Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed Tracker has 6.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Speed Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Trip Tracker's.

Speed Tracker ships an update monthly, Trip Tracker every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
