# Speed Tracker vs DoubleDash

The clearest difference is ads: DoubleDash at none against Speed Tracker's shown. DoubleDash also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Speed Tracker's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (6.3K vs 25). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speed Tracker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and DoubleDash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speed Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed Tracker has 6.3K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Speed Tracker's written reviews are positive against 75% of DoubleDash's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speed Tracker ships an update monthly, DoubleDash every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
