# Speed Tracker vs VeloGuard

The clearest difference is rating: VeloGuard at 5.0 against Speed Tracker's 4.6. VeloGuard also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). Speed Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (6.3K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speed Tracker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and VeloGuard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VeloGuard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed Tracker has 6.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Speed Tracker ships an update monthly, VeloGuard every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
