# Algebra Review vs GRE Prep & Test

The clearest difference is update cadence: GRE Prep & Test at every 3 months against Algebra Review's every 8 months. GRE Prep & Test also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Algebra Review sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and GRE Prep & Test sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Algebra Review ships an update every 8 months, GRE Prep & Test every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
