# Chordex vs Score Creator

The clearest difference is price: Score Creator at Free against Chordex's $0.99. Score Creator also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 31 months) and review sentiment (60% vs 33%). Chordex's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 7). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Score Creator is free to download; Chordex costs $0.99 up front. Score Creator sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Chordex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chordex holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Score Creator has 494 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Chordex's written reviews are positive against 60% of Score Creator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chordex ships an update every 31 months, Score Creator every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
