# 5 vs Evolve1

The clearest difference is rating: Evolve1 at 4.5 against 5's 1.4. Evolve1 also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). 5's advantage is ratings volume (6.1K vs 11) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Evolve1 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 5 has 6.1K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

5 ships an update monthly, Evolve1 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
