# 5 vs Capistrano USD

The clearest difference is rating: Capistrano USD at 2.2 against 5's 1.4. 5's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 0%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Capistrano USD holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 5 has 6.6K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of 5's written reviews are positive against 0% of Capistrano USD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

5 ships an update monthly, Capistrano USD every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
