# Electromaps vs CensEV

The clearest difference is rating: Electromaps at 4.8 against CensEV's 4.3. Electromaps also leads on ratings volume (342 vs 3) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). CensEV's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Electromaps holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Electromaps has 342 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Electromaps ships an update monthly, CensEV every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
