# INDYCAR vs AM Racing

The clearest difference is rating: AM Racing at 5.0 against INDYCAR's 4.4. AM Racing also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). INDYCAR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 11 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AM Racing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: INDYCAR has 4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

INDYCAR ships an update every 2 weeks, AM Racing every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
