# Marvel Unlimited vs DinoDex

The clearest difference is monetization model: DinoDex at free with in-app purchases against Marvel Unlimited's subscription. DinoDex also leads on review sentiment (86% vs 67%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Marvel Unlimited's advantage is ratings volume (62K vs 29) and chart position (#121 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Marvel Unlimited sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and DinoDex sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Marvel Unlimited against 4.8 for DinoDex. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Marvel Unlimited has 62K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Marvel Unlimited's written reviews are positive against 86% of DinoDex's.

Marvel Unlimited ships an update monthly, DinoDex fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
