# Marvel Unlimited vs Ask The Word

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ask The Word at free against Marvel Unlimited's subscription. Ask The Word also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). Marvel Unlimited's advantage is ratings volume (62K vs 1) and chart position (#93 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ask The Word holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Marvel Unlimited has 62K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Marvel Unlimited ships an update monthly, Ask The Word every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
