# SideCast vs LiteWire Messaging

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LiteWire Messaging at none against SideCast's 2. LiteWire Messaging also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). SideCast's advantage is ratings volume (209 vs 10). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SideCast sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. LiteWire Messaging asks for nothing beyond the download.

LiteWire Messaging holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SideCast has 209 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.
