# Pony Runner vs Unicorn Games

The clearest difference is ads: Pony Runner at none against Unicorn Games's shown. Pony Runner also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). Unicorn Games's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 7) and update cadence (every 13 months vs every 61 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pony Runner sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Unicorn Games sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pony Runner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unicorn Games has 1.1K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pony Runner ships an update every 61 months, Unicorn Games every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
